The 3.15m high and 24m long tunnel pipe has a passage width of 3m. It is part of a new 964m long cycle path along this route and will be accessible for both cyclists and pedestrians in the future.
In the course of the construction work, our team on site discovered more complex foundation conditions than had been planned. After uncovering the base of the foundation, we encountered strong groundwater outflows. Accordingly, it was necessary to statically secure the newly built structures. We also found a solution for the run-off water and diverted it into a near-natural retention basin.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our team, we were able to successfully complete the building in November 2019 despite the additional challenges after a construction period of 6 months.
