Luxury hotel in Prague's historic centre.

The Hotel Kempinski - now known as The Grand Mark Prague - is located in the heart of the Czech capital and boasts one of the premier hotel addresses in the country. The heritage-listed building was constructed in the 17th century as a residential palace. Most recently, it was used as a health care centre. During the comprehensive renovation works, the original style was preserved and accented with new, modern design elements. The establishment satisfies all the criteria of a modern five-star hotel.

The hotel contains 75 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and apartments with kitchenettes as well as a restaurant, lobby bar with winter garden, covered atrium and a spacious garden covering an area of 1,800m². A luxurious presidential suite with a delightful view of Prague's historic old town occupies the top floor. The building has six upper floors, accessed via an external panoramic glass lift from the atrium. Rooms in the basement floor contain the building equipment.

The building's location, on a heavily-travelled street in the centre of the city, presented great logistical challenges. Flawless coordination was essential for all works and for the delivery and storage of building materials. A helicopter was required for the delivery of the steel roof structure and the roof terrace jacuzzi.
