Rezidence Pod Skálou – Special Foundation Engineering

PORR was responsible for executing the complex pile foundations for the construction of the residential project Rezidence Pod Skálou. This construction scheme involved the construction of five residential buildings, each with four to five upper floors, a basement floor and a shared parking garage, in Prague-Libeň. All the buildings were founded on Großprofil-Bohrpfählen with diameters of 520/620, 750/900 and 1,050/1,200mm. The project also included the foundations for two stationary crane assemblies on piles with a diameter of 900mm.

The pile foundations of this residential complex consist of eight Großprofil-Bohrpfählen with a diameter of 900mm, 70 bored piles with a diameter of 750mm and 128 bored piles with a diameter of 520mm. The total length of the 900mm-diameter piles was 42m, the 750mm-diameter piles measured 430m, while 589m of 520mm-diameter piles were used. Before handover, these piles were broken off to the required heights.

The foundations for the stationary crane assemblies were each made from four Großprofil-Bohrpfählen with a diameter of 900mm and a depth of 6m. In total, 48m of bored piles were used for this. The piles were manufactured with 0.8m of overlapping reinforcement on top of the anchor length.

Lastly, the project also included the boring of an 8m deep well with a diameter of 750mm.
